9 Best Allergy Vacuums for Dust Mites and Pets in 2024 (Buyers Guide)

(I may earn a small commission on the products linked to in this post.)

It can be a challenge to keep your home clean when you’re diagnosed with allergy.  I’ve done a lot of research to review the best allergy vacuum for dust mites and pets in 2024 and I’ll share it with you.

The types of vacuums I reviewed included stick, upright, and canister vacuums. These all have the ability to protect you and your family from dust mites and pet allergies.

There were a few important criteria that I used to identify high-quality vacuums for allergies.  The most important criterion was the use of a HEPA filter. Allergy vacuums for dust mites and pets must use a true HEPA filter!

This review considers design and appearance, power, my personal experience, cost, and reviews from customers who have the product.  I separated the allergy vacuums into 3 sections:

Section 1 – Upright vacuums for allergies (mid-range)

Section 2 – Stick vacuums for allergies (budget)

Section 3 – Canister vacuums for allergies (high-end)

As someone who suffers from dust mite allergy symptoms (and to a lesser degree pet allergies), I hope this helps in your search to find high-quality vacuums for allergies.

My Experience With Vacuums and Dust Mite Allergy

As a child, I never knew I was allergic.  I thought it was normal, feeling tired, getting rashes, and having a stuffy nose.  I had a chronic cough from allergies too!

I remember looking at other people and wondered if they had to deal with the same things.  I also remembered thinking I would grow out of it.  Unfortunately, I never did.

As time passed, I became older and my body grew less resilient.  I’m still not old, but over the past decade, my symptoms became so bad I didn’t know what to do.

I was suffering from allergies but I didn’t know why.  As a last resort, I went to an allergist and before the doctor even tested me he said “you have allergies”.  Was it that obvious? And why hadn’t anyone else ever mentioned that?

My allergy tests showed that I was allergic to dust mites, pollen, dogs and cats, mold – basically everything.  I thought about my exposure as a kid.  One thing I always wondered was “why did I feel sick after vacuuming?”

It didn’t make sense because the house became cleaner, right?  However, in the 1990s vacuums weren’t very advanced.  Our household used a basic vacuum and it didn’t have a HEPA filter (you’ll learn about HEPA in the next section). Although our vacuum collected big particles from our carpet, it actually blew dust into the air.

After being diagnosed with allergies and doing countless hours of research, it all began to make sense.  My house was covered in carpeting. Carpets act like an allergy trap and compared to hard flooring, carpets catch and hold onto all kinds of dust and allergens.

If you have allergies, you should consider getting rid of carpets or be prepared to vacuum weekly.  The vacuum I used was effective for big items, however, it didn’t capture the smallest particulates that I was allergic to.

If I would have used a vacuum with a HEPA filter, I definitely would have felt the difference.  Instead, I vacuumed my room and stirred up all kinds of allergens!

What Does HEPA Stand For

HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Arrestance.  Translated to basic English, a HEPA filter efficiently traps tiny particulates from the air.  There are 2 types of HEPA filters and it’s important to differentiate between them.

The first type is a “True HEPA” filter.  A True HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates .3 microns or larger from the air.  This includes a range of allergens and odors.  This is the filter allergic individuals want!

A “HEPA Type or Like” filter captures 99% of particulates 2 microns or larger, such as pet dander and dust. If they are HEPA-Type or Like, then we don’t know how good they are because there is no quality control for them.  They might work well, or not.  I don’t recommend these for people with allergies!

“True HEPA” filters are superior.  Although many HEPA products won’t distinguish between “True” and “Type” filters, you can check by the percentage of particulates captured (99.97% or 99%).

I really wanted to review and recommend an IRobot Roomba vacuum for this article, but I had to be honest with myself and you.  They are great for picking up dust and visible dirt, but they don’t provide a deep, thorough cleaning.

Don’t get me wrong, those automatic cleaning Roombas are great, and I plan to buy one for myself in the future, but because of their size they don’t have the suction power that the larger vacuums have.

If you have carpeting you can pair your vacuum with a carpet shampooer to kill dust mites.  I recommend using carpet shampooers 2-3 times per year for a deep clean.

Why Do I Need A HEPA Filter

Without a HEPA filter, dust mites and other allergens are blown around the room, further exacerbating your family’s allergies (When I was young I always wondered why vacuuming my house made my allergies worse, not better).

For my allergies, even a basic fan makes me symptomatic because the wind stirs up dirt and dust.

Even if you aren’t allergic to dust and other aeroallergens, you might have sensitivities that can be terrible for your airways, causing congestion, breathing problems, and coughing.  Long-term exposure to dust can even cause asthma in some people.

A HEPA filter ensures that dust mites, along with their larvae and feces, are caught and trapped!  In addition to dust mites, HEPA filters reduce the presence of other harmful allergens within the home.  A HEPA vacuum will be able to capture:

  • Mold
  • Animal/Pet dander
  • Pollen
  • Dust mites

HEPA filters are guaranteed to capture particulates measuring .3 microns or above.  This is why you need a HEPA filter.  HEPA filters are extremely popular for children who have asthma and allergy.  For more kids info check out 11 Things Every Allergic Kid Needs ASAP.

Section 1: Top Upright Vacuums for Dust Mite and Pet Allergies

No. 1  Dyson Ball Multi Floor Upright Vacuums (Our Top Overall Vacuum for Dust Mites)

“Once you go Dyson, you never go back.  I’ve been a customer for a long time and this is my 3rd Dyson (I like to upgrade).   Dyson happens to be a well-engineered vacuum.  It shows in its performance and design.  I have pet hair all over my house, and this vacuum never fails to pick up everything and the brush never gets clogged either which saves me time and effort.  I’m not sure if the HEPA filter helps with smells but using the vacuum also seems to help, everything smells fresh after using.” – Dyson customer

In 1987 the Dyson company was born.  As evidence to a relentless work ethic, the company, became the world’s first vacuum cleaner to go bagless!

Their engineering was revolutionary for the vacuum industry and Dyson has continued to lead the industry since.  The company is based out of the U.K. and has over 1,000 engineers working for them to find new ways to improve design and performance.

Dyson is hands-down our #1 allergy vac and works great for dust mites and pet hair.  Over the past decade, Dyson has pulled away from the competition especially with their HEPA, Ball, and Cord Free vacuums!

The ball technology makes it easy for the operator to maneuver around furniture and its hose can be unwound to reach high and hard to get places.

Most of their selection comes with HEPA filters that never need to be replaced.  This limits recurring expenses and reduces the hassle of purchasing and replacing the filters.

Dyson’s Cord-Free options not only live up to the high performance of their counterparts with cords, but the battery outlasts any competitor and in some cases lasts 2x as long.

In the past few years, Dyson has invested over 90 million dollars purchasing battery companies. Their battery technology puts them way ahead of the competition.  In 2017 they shared a letter to employees that they were also using their battery technology to engineer an electric vehicle.

Imagine a powerful yet cordless option for vacuuming. For me, the biggest headache is making sure the cord is out of the way.

For Dyson products, I recommend the following options, and both suggestions have outstanding reviews! I only give #1 recommendations to products I use.

Needless-to-say, I use two Dyson vacuums and love them – the photo below is from our home.  They feature quiet motors, strong batteries and suction, and provide great allergy protection.

Dyson Ball Animal 2 Upright Vacuum, Iron/Purple

The Ball Animal is an animal!  It’s powerful and perfect for both pets and dust mite allergies.  It has the strongest suction of any vacuum on the market (literally).

It’s hygienic in that it kills bacteria, has a whole vacuum HEPA filter, and easily transitions from carpet to hardwood, rugs, and tile.

Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum

The Dyson V8 Cordless vacuum is the top cordless option on the market (however the Dyson V10 just came out!).

The beauty of this product is the cord, or lack thereof. No more hassle of untangling, winding up, and making sure you don’t run over the cord (I own the cordless, pictured right).

Using the cordless is easier than using a broom! Amazon currently has a wide-selection of Dyson prices.

It has an impressive 40 minutes of continuous run time after 4 hours of charge.  It also has 150% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6.

There are a few cheaper Dyson options, namely the V6, but be careful, not all have the HEPA filters for allergies!

No. 2  Hoover Vacuum Cleaner WindTunnel 3 High-Performance Pet Bagless

“Go for it,  I usually purchase by looking at other recommendations.  I know that’s a little lazy but if hundreds (sometimes thousands) of people like a product, then it probably is doing its job.  I’ve used this a few times and I am already a satisfied customer.  The parts feel sturdy, well-made and once it is assembled it appears solid.  This Hoover has 7 levels for your floor, has a strong motor with a cool turbo option, and comes to your door well-packaged.  I recommend Hoover products and I know I’ll be happy for years to come.” – Hoover WindTunnel 3 customer

  • HEPA filter and carbon media that captures odors as well
  • Turbo tool that better picks up pet hair
  • Reusable, washable filter
  • Wand that reaches 15 feet upwards
  • Headlight and 15 amps
  • 40-foot power cord

It’s obvious that Hoover makes good quality upright vacuums because after all, they are on our list 3 times.  The fact is, its hard to find good quality vacuums with HEPA filters.

Hoover meets these specifications and makes a purchase even better by providing reusable filters.  The Hoover Pet Bagless is also available at a discount on Amazon.

You can utilize the turbo feature which speeds up the cleaning brush, or you can switch off the brush and simply use suction.  This vacuum has 12 amps and 1440 watts for suction power which is one of the highest in our reviews.

The WindTunnel 3 has 7-floor heights to choose from and a headlight to light up the areas under your bed and tables.  I really like that fact that it combines a HEPA and carbon filter.  Together that is great filtration for people with allergies and asthma.

No. 3  Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Upright Vacuum

“Do I like this vacuum, No, I love it!  We had an old vacuum, it was worn out and didn’t have the features that the new vacuums have (more power, multiple height settings, washable HEPA filter).  I really needed the HEPA filter because of my allergies and this has helped.  I hadn’t heard of Shark Ninja before and thought the name was silly, but after researching on multiple websites, this vacuum had really good reviews.  We’ve had it a short time and only used it as an upright (even though its a 2 in 1).  Suction is good, its lightweight, and the cord is the right length.  Quality product for a good price.” – Shark Ninja customer

I think it’s fair to say most people haven’t heard of the Shark Ninja vacuum.  Am I right?  At first glance, you might think the name is a gimmick, made cheaply or a possibly a knockoff.

The truth is, Shark Ninja vacuums have slowly gained market share in the U.S. vacuum industry and they’ve done so by offering strong performance with affordability.  Now, who doesn’t like the sound of that?

  • 2 in 1 vacuum for upright vacuuming and portable cleaning
  • Pet power brush to help loosen the deepest dirt in your carpet
  • Anti-allergen seal with a HEPA filter
  • Swivel steering with LED headlights
  • 10 amps

The Shark Ninja weighs in at 15.5 lbs or 8.4 lbs as a lift away vacuum.  It utilizes 1200 watts of power and has swivel steering which allows the handle to control sharp turns whether on hard floors or carpet.

The LED lights can illuminate dark spots under beds and desks.

It comes with some nice accessories too, including a dusting brush, 12″ crevice tool, and a premium pet power brush.

What I like about this vacuum is that it combines a functional, stylish look with the versatility (2 in 1) that we don’t see in other upright vacuums. Just look at our list, only one other vacuum is a 2 in 1 and it happens to be a smaller size vac, not like this one.

Shark Ninja has various styles on Amazon and great reviews from pleased customers.

Consumer Reports ranks this vacuum a 3.5 out of 5 stars with 62% of survey respondents saying they would recommend it to a friend, however, another site ranks it much higher – that’s impressive for a young company.

The truth is that this vacuum is perfect for the value shopper! Check out this video to see its performance for yourself:

No. 4  Hoover UH70400 WindTunnel Air Bagless

“Vacuum is great! I previously had a cheap $40 Vacuum from Wal-Mart for years. It broke and when I got this one and when I used it for the first time it felt solid. I didn’t expect to see much in the chamber since I just used my old one right before it broke… Only to see the chamber was FULL of sand, dirt, and all kind of stuff. This vacuum is solid for a great price, and I saw it for as much as $160 retail. Would definitely recommend.” – Customer

Everyone knows the “Windtunnel” name.  This was one of the most popular models in the 1990’s and it remains relevant today.

To keep up with its innovative competitors, Hoover updated this sleek upright windtunnel vacuum.

This UH70400 anti-allergy vacuum cleaner is an affordable yet quality option for families with dust mite allergy.  It is one of the lighter vacuums on our list at 12 lbs but also comes with a long extension to reach those spider webs on the ceiling.

View this Hoover price and reviews on Amazon.

  • Corded (30 feet)
  • Bagless (no need for additional costs)
  • HEPA filtration (reusable)
  • Combination tool with 30-inch extension wand and 12-foot stair hose

The Hoover UH70400 is bagless, uses cyclonic suction technology, and comes with an important HEPA filter for dust mites and other aeroallergens.

With over 1000’s of positive reviews, this allergy vacuum is not only effective, but also affordable!

Section 2: Stick Vacuums for Dust Mite and Pet Allergies

The Stick Vac list would have been longer, however, many high-quality stick vacuums lack HEPA filtration.  These vacs included Dirt Devil and Hoover stick vacuums – although I wanted to review them, they didn’t meet our criteria.

We’re left with 2 quality choices:

No. 5 VonHaus 600W 2-in-1 Corded Vacuum Cleaner

“This VonHaus is the go-to appliance at my house.  Prior to this purchase I always used 2nd hand vacuums, so they were older, outdated, and didn’t clean as well.   Technology has come a long way since my last vacuum because this one picks up way more dirt.  It is light, compact and the 600w make it a power smaller vacuum.  Did I mention it is a transformer too?  I use the handheld option to get places the vacuum can’t reach.  It can be stored inside easily, not like the heavy, bulky vacuums that are 2x as expensive.  I highly recommend this vacuum.” – VonHaus customer

At first glance, we thought this vacuum was too small to be on our list.  But after looking at the specs and reviews, we understand why the VonHaus allergy vacuum is great for allergies.

The VonHaus vacuum is the most compact vacuum on our list so its great for smaller homes, apartments, and university dormitories.

VonHaus is available at a low price on Amazon. It also has positive reviews.

  • Nifty 2-1 upright and handheld
  • 600w and 5.5 amps of suction power
  • HEPA filter
  • Budget-friendly
  • Comes in a few colors (and another model looks similar to Bissell stick)

VonHaus is considered a 2 in 1 (both upright and handheld) which allows it to reach places the bigger vacuums can’t reach (like those pesky corners).  For being a smaller device, it packs a powerful punch with 600w of suction.

It also has a HEPA filter which does an effective job against dust mites as well as smaller pets like cats!

With plenty of excellent reviews on Amazon, this is a great vacuum for those on a budget.  It has a 19-foot power cord and accessories that you’ll find in the more expensive upright vacuums.

The VonnHause allergy vacuum comes in 2 colors, orange, and grey.

No. 6  Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, Cordless Vacuum

“Don’t let its good looks fool you.  I was surprised by the quality even though I read good reviews.  I always peruse vacuums because I have allergies and my dream is to own a Dyson.  Sadly Dyson is a little over my budget.  I settled on this vacuum and I’m glad I did.  I like that it runs over 20 minutes after a full charge, even though it doesn’t seem like a long time, you can vacuum many rooms in 20 minutes.  There are multiple attachments, great suction, the look is modern, and it gives me way more room in my closet.” – Bissell customer

  • Modern, minimalist look
  • 7Kpa of suction power
  • 25 minutes of continuous run time with full charge
  • Tall dirt canister to avoid bending over (tall people like me)

Bissell offers smaller vacuums in addition to its larger options.  This cordless vac is one of their best sellers.

This 2 in 1 offers that minimalist style with a functional design.   I really like that the removable canister is at the top of the vac, this way I don’t have to bend over!

And because the handle is so thin, it can move around couches, desks, and beds with relative ease.  Check out the Bissell cordless price and reviews on Amazon.

Even better this is a rechargeable vac with a lithium-ion battery.  Yes, we said cordless!

Most rechargeable vacuums suffer from 1 of 2 problems, poor battery life or poor suction, however, Bissell performs well for both.  In addition, it comes with plenty of accessories and a wall mount to make for easy storage and charging.

Bissell’s smart but lightweight (7.7 lbs) design doesn’t take away from its ability to perform.  The 14.4 V battery provides plenty of suction power (7Kpa).  4.5 hours of charge will provide 25 minutes of continuous run time.

Lest we forget, a trusty HEPA filter puts our mind at ease knowing allergens can be captured rather than spread throughout the room.  The filter is washable and reusable, which will save money too!

Section 3: Top Canister Vacuums for Dust Mites and Pet Allergy in 2024

I’m biased to canister vacuums because they work better and last longer.  For many buyers, canister vacuums seem old fashioned.

The truth is just the opposite, and in my opinion, the functionality and performance of well-made canister vacs outperform their counterparts.

There are a few canister allergy vacuums that retail for over $1,000.  Wowza! In this review for canister allergy vacuums, we chose three options that offer quality allergy protection at a reasonable price point.

These should be considered “high end” vacuums and are great for people with serious dust mite and pet allergy.  If allergy performance is at the top of your list, consider these 3 options below!

No. 7  Miele Classic C1 Cat and Dog Canister Vacuum Cleaner

“Yes you’re paying a premium, but you also get a lifetime product (ok a long time).  The vacuum is made well, suction is excellent, and not too heavy – easy to move around the house.  Keep an eye on the window because it shows you the bag.  Thus far I really like the vacuum.  It is expensive but I expect to have it and use it for the next 10 years – kinda like a car.  And plus, my health is worth the cost.  I’d buy it again.” – Miele Classic C1 Cat and Dog

  • Powerful, yet compact
  • 6 speeds
  • Ideal for pet owners and people with allergy
  • 2 motorized brushes
  • 5 level height for flooring
  • Cleaner for upholstered furniture
  • Air filter that captures allergens and odors

Ok, first we’ll discuss the appearance then we’ll get to what really separates this vac from the pack.  As seen in the photo, and similar to our No. 2 canister vacuum, Miele knows how to make a utility product look classy.

If you were using this vacuum and friends stopped by it would turn into a conversation piece, much like that expensive piece of art you have on the wall.  The lines are lean, color pure and it’s not bulky, rather sleek.

This vac separates itself from the pack in a few ways.  Miele vacs have 2 attachments that both have motors.

Of course “accessories” come with all vacuums.  I consider Meile a luxury canister vacuum.  You can read more about Meile on Amazon.

In standard upright vacuums, the attachments are different shaped plastic that attaches onto a hose.

This vacuum, however, has a turbo piece that attaches much like the larger motorized piece (photo right).  The turbo brush is made for small spaces or couches and beds and is way better than any plastic attachment I’ve used

Miele Cat and Dog also has 6 settings that allow you to control the suction power.  The suction power can also influence the noise of the vacuum to turn it on low while the kids are sleeping.

The allergy filter is backed by a secondary charcoal filter which captures odors and chemicals that may be present in your home, hence the name Miele Cat and Dog!

No. 8  Miele Compact C1 Turbo Team Canister Vacuum

“If you don’t know, now you know.  Miele makes a lightweight functional vacuum and this one works for me.  I combine using this vacuum for deep cleans with a robotic one that gets more superficial dirt.  I need a more thorough cleaning because of my allergies and the HEPA filter does a great job.  The vacuum itself rolls good, its light, and comes with two attachment head.  Needless to say, I like my purchase and recommend it 100%.”  – Miele C1 Turbo customer

  • 6 stage variable speed
  • 2 nozzles for carpet or hard floor
  • Clean filter is actually better than HEPA
  • 12oo watt Miele made motor (German engineered)
  • Cleaning radius of 29.5 feet
  • 1 year limited warranty

Miele is a great company because they are made by German engineers (they are some of the best in the world).

This canister vacuum measures 16.9 x 9.8 x 9.1 inches and weighs 14.8 lbs.  The cord has a handy rewind feature that works by pressing a button. The C1 Miele vacuum is an amazing HEPA vacuum (check details on Amazon).

One negative aspect of this vacuum is that you will need to purchase vacuum bags, Miele Type FJM, however, the vacuum will take about 50 hours before you need to change it and/or the filter.

They come in packs of bags and filters that are reasonably priced so they aren’t trying to rip you off after selling you an expensive vacuum.

On its website, Miele states that household/personal products come with a 1-year limited warranty.

No. 9  Electrolux EL4335B Ultra Flex Canister Vacuum

“I really hate loud vacuums and so does my dog.  Most vacuums make a lot of noise and if you want suction power then noise just comes with the vacuum.  When I bought this canister vacuum I immediately realized how quiet it was.  I was worried that the suction was blocked but nope it’s just quiet.  I was hesitant to buy a canister vacuum because I don’t like bending over, however, this vacuum is amazing and cleans more than my old upright vacuum.  Because the filter is so fine, it will need to be cleaned often.  I’m fine with that because I know it’s doing the job.” – EL4335B Ultra Flex customer This Electrolux is a great option for allergy sufferer or people with a few dogs in the house.   It is lighter than most uprights (11.6 lbs) and measures 17 x 11.5 x 13 inches.

  • On/Off switch brush role
  • 3 height levels for floor height
  • 21-foot cord and 8-foot hose
  • Bagless + Washable HEPA filter and filtration system that captures 99.97% of allergens
  • 5-year warranty (longest on our list)
  • And 3 cleaning attachments (2 brush, 1 nozzle)

As our reviewer mentioned it is quiet compared to other vacuums and operates at 65 decibels.  It also uses wheels (plastic) on the bottom which make moving around the house fairly easy.

The EL4335B is tough and can take some punishment moving around the house.  The adjustable handle makes it easy for the user to change based on height.  This Electrolux is available on Amazon at a reasonable price.

Besides the strong filtration system, I really like the 5-year warranty.   Knowing the company has 5 years of confidence in the product should make you feel better about a purchase.

You’d be hard pressed to find any other company offering that guarantee.

Our Picks for Top Allergy Vacuum for Dust Mite and Pets

Cordless Budget Pick: VonHaus 600W 2-1 corded upright vac

VonHaus offers a versatile 2 in 1 vacuum that has power, is effective against dust mites and pet allergy, and sells at a competitive yet affordable price.  Better yet, the reviews for this product are phenomenal.

Upright Pick: Dyson V8 Absolute Cord-Free Vacuum

The Dyson V8 Cordless vacuum is the top cordless vacuum on the market. Overall it’s a great allergy vacuum and our best HEPA vacuum.

It has an impressive 40 minutes of continuous run time after 4 hours of charge.  It also has 150% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6.

There are a few cheaper Dyson options, namely the V6, but be careful, only the V8’s have the HEPA filters for allergies!

Cannister Pick: Electrolux EL4335B Ultra flex canister vacuum

You might be surprised at our pick for the high-end allergy vacuum, but let me explain.  Electrolux offers many of the same features as the top-of-the-line Miele.  It’s quiet, lightweight, and sturdy.

I must admit, I like its convenience and the reusable HEPA filter makes the choice for me.  I don’t mind spending a few extra dollars for filters and bags, but with a reusable HEPA filter and bagless canister, this is the one for me.

Home Remedies for Dust Mite Allergies

In addition to purchasing a quality allergy vacuum, there are a number of steps you can take to minimize dust mites and pet dander.

(1) Dust Mite Proof Bedding

Utilize dust mite proof covers for your mattress, comforter, and pillows.  These covers are relatively inexpensive and many products have a lifetime warranty.

(2) Heating and AC Allergy Filters are Underutilized

Replace your HVAC (air conditioning) filter with a high-quality allergy filter.  Most people don’t realize the cheapest filters for the air conditioner do little to reduce dust mites, pollen, mold, and animal dander.

Buying a slightly better quality filter will make your a/c turn into an air filter.  High-quality Filtrete filters can actually remove odor and bacteria from the air.  See our reviews and comparisons for the best HVAC filters here.

(3) Reduce Carpeting

Minimize the carpet in the home.  Dust mites, pollen, dander, and dirt love carpeting because it provides warmth and hiding places.

Carpets require weekly vacuuming to stay dust mite free, however, hard flooring is easy to clean and manage.

If you have serious allergies, removing carpeting is a must.

(4) Laundry Detergent and Essential Oils

Use anti-allergy laundry detergent.  Specialized laundry detergent with essential oils will kill dust mites and their larvae.  With regular washing, dust mites and other allergens can be eradicated from fabrics.

(5) Dehumidifier for Humid Regions

If you live in a humid area, consider purchasing a dehumidifier (dehumidifier reviews).  Dust mites reproduce quickly in humid environments because they absorb moisture needs from the air.

Scientists have found there are actually fewer dust mites in more arid areas, such as the Western U.S.  Dehumidifier work well and are a great way to relieve dust mite allergies.

Allergies from dust mites and pets can be a real nuisance.  If allergies symptoms are severe, they can cause among other things, asthma, congestion, rashes, and conjunctivitis.

Purchasing a vacuum for allergies is a key step in reducing dust mite presence, and with regular use, you should feel an improvement with indoor air.  The top HEPA vacuums will capture mold, dust, dust mites, pet dander, and pollen from the house – don’t settle for a vac without a HEPA filter.

Additional steps can be taken to further improve indoor symptoms.  Dust mites covers are essential for anyone allergic because we spent 1/3 of our lives in bed.

HVAC filters, carpeting, anti-allergy laundry detergent, and dehumidifiers are also ways to reduce allergy exposure.

We hope this article helps you choose a vacuum for dust mite allergy.  The information we share has benefited me tremendously and my goal is to help others find the same relief.
